Real Estate Poetry
Could texts on buildings and cities, written to sell, be considered as a new and unexpected source of poetry? This lecture will discuss the production of architecture in a global real-estate-media complex, positioning speculative language of property developers as an important construction site where entire urban projects and collective urban imaginaries are being built by the means of narrative, storytelling, and above all, fiction.
This talk marks the end of Marija Marić’s fellowship in the LOEWE research cluster “Architectures of Order”. She was a visiting fellow from October to December 2020.
