Daniela Grotz studied architecture in Stuttgart and Stockholm between 2004 and 2009. Her work as a practicing architect focuses on the planning of complex public buildings, as well as on the participation in architectural competitions, and has been awarded several times. Design and construction were also the key issues of her teaching at the Hochschule für Technik Stuttgart (2015 to 2016) and the Karlsruher Institut für Technologie, where she worked as a research assistant from 2017 to 2019. Her research examines the role of history and theory in the processes of architectural production, with particular emphasis on the teaching of architecture. Since 2020, Daniela Grotz is working as a doctoral researcher at the Technische Universität Darmstadt for the LOEWE research cluster “Architectures of Order”.
